500 New Stories Began Here: Our 2026 Back to School Giveaway

On August 1, 2026, I had the joy of watching something we had dreamed about for months become real: 500 children received the school supplies they needed to begin a new school year with confidence.
We reached our goal.
But when I looked around that day, I realized that this was never simply about reaching a number. It was about the children choosing their backpacks, the families arriving with smiles, the volunteers working side by side, and an entire community saying, “We are here for you.”
Our 2026 Back to School Campaign was created with one belief at its heart: every child deserves the opportunity to walk into the classroom feeling prepared, supported, and proud.
Throughout this journey, our mission also received beautiful recognition from WPTV, which shared the work of Zuhre’s World and our commitment to providing students with backpacks and essential school supplies. As I shared with WPTV, the more I give, the more inspired I become to do even more.
And after seeing what our community accomplished this year, I feel that more deeply than ever.
To Our Volunteers
You gave us something incredibly precious: your time.
You helped prepare, organize, carry, welcome, distribute, smile, solve problems, and make children and families feel cared for.
Every backpack that reached a child passed through the hands of people who chose to show up.
Thank you for being the heart behind this day.

To Our Donors and Sponsors
This achievement belongs to you, too.
Every contribution—large or small—became something tangible in the hands of a child. A backpack. A notebook. Pencils. School essentials. And, most importantly, the feeling of being remembered.
Our Back to School work is only possible because people in our community continue to believe in this mission and support it through their generosity.
To every donor and sponsor who trusted Zuhre’s World with your contribution: thank you.
You helped us reach 500 children in 2026.

To the Media
A very special thank-you to WPTV and Ashley Glass for helping tell our story and giving our mission a voice beyond the walls of our events. WPTV has followed our community work and helped shine a light on the needs of local students and the people coming together to support them.
Media coverage does more than share what happened. It helps another person discover the mission, another volunteer decide to participate, and another donor realize that they can make a difference.
For that, I am deeply grateful.
500 Children. One Community. A New Chapter.
When we say “Helping Children Write a New Story,” this is what we mean.
Sometimes a new story begins with something as simple as walking into school with a backpack filled with everything you need.
On August 1, we helped 500 children begin that new chapter.
I left the giveaway tired, emotional, grateful—and incredibly happy.
And already thinking about what we can do next.
Because every time this community helps us reach one child, I am reminded that there is another story waiting to be written.
With all my gratitude,
Zuhre Beytas
